They are the governing body of the sport of athletics in Great Britain, they are based in Solihull, Birmingham.

Midland Counties Athletic Association
They are part of England Athletics, which is divided up nationally by region of which Leicestershire comes under the Midlands, they are based in Birmingham.
Leicestershire & Rutland Athletics Association
They govern athletics in Leicestershire, they are responsible for the organisation and administration of the various county championships, leagues and events, they also organise the various schools athletics leagues and championships.
